With the metaverse becoming an increasingly popular concept across domains and businesses, India’s MG Motors becomes the first auto Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)  to introduce their version of the metaverse platform with “MGverse”.

MGverse will provide an immersive experience to customers and stakeholders through five virtual services— ‘Explore and Create’ center; An NFT Gallery (Virtual Museum); A virtual MG Car Club; A gaming arena (P2E games); MG Knowledge Centre (for employees)

The recently launched MGverse will initially be available only on desktop web browsers and mobile phones as the company intends to integrate the same experience into virtual reality gadgets in the near future.

Speaking at the press conference of MGverse’s launch, MG Motor India’s Marketing Head, Udit Malhotra stated:

You can explore fiddle and tailor the class as you please. If you are buying a car, you will get an assisted buying experience with a personalized MGverse assistant who will be with you in the metaverse and help you make choices.

In other news, the entire state of Singapore has been modeled in 3D by a local tech startup, Vizzio Technologies, which now aims to bring the world’s largest digital twin into the metaverse.

This digital city project intends to serve professionals who wish to market their products in this economy, as well as gaming platforms, and virtual tourists. Moreover, thousands of satellite photos along with artificial intelligence have been used to reconstruct the entire city, street by street, block by block, with painstaking precision.

Meanwhile, UAE-based metaverse-driven entertainment platform The World’s Online Festival (WOLF) issued a press release wherein they predicted a 15% increase in revenue from metaverse-related projects by the end of 2022. Through this, they emphasized the exponential potential of the UAE to be a thriving international business hub in the Web3 realm.

With its major user base in the GCC, WOLF has generated an interactive community of more than 2 million users comprising producers, musicians, singers, and comedians, to name a few. Their flagship patent-pending feature, Showreel, has experienced 77 million ‘WOLF Stream’ views of 3D cinematic short clips, since its launch in 2021.
